  1. What is our Lodge Name and Number?
  2. We are Haida Lodge, and are numbered 166 on the register of the Grand Lodge of BC and Yukon (link).
  1. Are there other lodges in Victoria?
  2. Yes–besides Haida there is also Victoria Columbia No. 1, Vancouver & Quadra No. 2, Camosun Lodge No. 60, Britannia Lodge No. 73, and Henderson Lodge No. 84. Nearby lodges include United Peninsula Lodge No. 24 in Saanichton, Goldstream Lodge No. 161 in Langford, and Mt. Shepherd Lodge No. 159 in Sooke.
  1. Do they all do the same work (or ritual)?
  2. No–Haida does Ancient work, as does Vancouver Quadra and Camosun Lodge. Victoria Columbia, United Peninsula, Britannia and Henderson do Emulation work, and Goldstream and Mt. Shepherd do Canadian work
  1. When does Haida meet?
  2. Our meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of every month (except July and August), and meetings usually start at 7:30 PM.
  1. What is an “Installation”, and when does ours occur?
  2. Every lodge has an Annual Installation of Officers, which is where the incoming Worshipful Master, Wardens, and other Officers of the lodge get “Installed”, or assigned their positions/roles for the upcoming year. For Haida, our installation usually takes place in October. It is often held on our regular meeting night, but can also be held on a weekend depending on the circumstances.
